APERATURE FIRE TABLE

This project is statement piece specifically designed for the Brown Jordan outdoor furniture company. This fire table draws on the brands high end consumer and commercial clientele as well as their signature style to create a one of a kind fire centerpiece. The concept is inspired by the movement and function of a camera aperture, closing and opening to provide multiple stages of coverage over the fire pit.  When completely open, the cover becomes a depressed table surface that can be used to set items without them getting hot, and when completely closed, the metal cover protects the fire table from water and is converted into a large coffee table. This fire table utilizes modern technologies with inventive mechanical functions to produce a unique furniture statement piece for the company Brown Jordan.
